How to discover Solana tokens gaining momentum

Look beyond a rising chart: compare buyers, sellers, flows, concentration and the persistence of activity before drawing conclusions.

Momentum is more than a green candle

A price jump tells you a trade moved the market. It does not tell you how many independent people are participating, whether buying continued or whether a small pool made the move look larger. Start by asking what changed in the activity behind the chart.

URGE highlights changing activity across Solana and offers explanations of available signals. It is a way to find tokens to investigate, not a prediction that the price must rise.

Read the activity in layers

Use the same time window when comparing figures. A five-minute burst and an hour of sustained activity describe different situations.

  1. Check unique buyers and sellers, not just the number of transactions. One wallet can trade many times.
  2. Compare incoming and outgoing trading flows. A high volume figure alone does not show which direction dominated.
  3. Look for activity that persists across windows rather than a single isolated burst.
  4. Review wallet concentration, creator activity and any available funding or bundle evidence.
  5. Consider liquidity and the actual trade quote. A displayed price is not a guarantee that a larger order can execute at that price.

Use URGE to investigate the reason

Open the discovery feed, review the explanation under What's happening?, and open the token page for more context. Use available filters to narrow the feed, then revisit the activity rather than treating the first signal as permanent.

Missing evidence is not a clean bill of health. A newer token may have limited history; an earlier check may no longer describe the present. Read timestamps and coverage notes before drawing a conclusion.

Learn from the full history

Review Signal History to see earlier observations and the available later prices, including weak outcomes. A collection of winning screenshots leaves out the signals that did not work. Historical performance and simulated examples cannot guarantee a future result.
