How to launch a community coin on Solana
Plan a coin around a real community: what it is for, where people meet, what you can honestly offer, and what buyers will be able to check.
Start with the community, not the ticker
A community coin works best when people already know what they are joining: a game, a group of makers, a shared joke, a local scene. Write down in one or two sentences who the community is for and what it does together. If you cannot explain it simply, a token will not explain it for you.
Launching a coin does not create a community, demand or a market. It gives an existing or forming community a shared asset, with all the risks of a volatile market. Say that plainly to the people you invite.
Prepare before you open the launch form
On URGE the launch form asks for a name, ticker, image, a short description and your official links. After launch, the coin's Community tab lets you add a purpose, uses or benefits and dated updates.
- Write a description of up to 250 characters that says what the community is, not what the price might do.
- Decide which website and which X, Telegram or Discord link are official, and use links you control.
- List any uses or benefits you intend to offer, and be honest about which ones exist today. Anything not built yet is Planned.
- Choose the launch wallet knowing that its buys, sales, transfers and past launches are public on URGE.
- Read the Creator Fees page and the transaction review for current costs. Creation, an initial buy, trading fees and network fees are different items.
After launch: keep the page current
Share the coin's URGE page and full mint address through your official channels so people can tell your coin from copies with the same name. Post dated updates when something changes, and edit links or benefits only when they really change: every save is kept in a public change history.
Money raised on the bonding curve is trading liquidity in the pool, not funding you can spend on the project. Do not describe it as a treasury or a budget.
What URGE shows next to your claims
Everything you write is labelled creator-provided; URGE does not verify it. Next to it, URGE shows what it can check: the launch check, your wallet's recorded buys, sales and holdings, tokens you sent to other wallets, and your previous launches. Consistency between the two is how trust is earned, and no label or spotlight makes a coin safe.
