Communicating your coin's purpose and benefits honestly
How to describe what a community coin is for, separate planned benefits from available ones, and keep promises visible over time.
Purpose first, price never
Describe what the community does and why the coin exists for it. Avoid words that promise returns, growth, listings or guaranteed demand. People should be able to judge the community without guessing what you meant.
Planned is not available
A benefit is available when someone can use it today: access to a game server, a discount that works, an event that is scheduled with a date. Everything else is planned. On URGE each benefit carries one of those two labels, and the page explains that planned items may never be delivered.
Do not describe an airdrop, reward or ticket as live until the mechanics exist and can be checked. If the details depend on things you have not decided, say so.
- Keep each benefit to one line with a short detail.
- Mark it Planned until it actually exists.
- When a plan changes, edit it and post an update explaining why.
- Remove a benefit you will not deliver rather than leaving it to look current.
Your change history is public
URGE keeps every save of the community information. Changes to official links and benefits are listed with their date and whether the creator or URGE made them. That record protects honest creators: it shows promises kept as well as promises changed.
Updates build trust slowly
Short, dated updates are more useful than occasional large announcements. Say what happened, what did not, and what you will do next. If you sell or move tokens, say that too: people can see it in Creator activity anyway, and an explanation from you is better than a guess.
