How to launch a memecoin on Solana
Understand the steps from a token idea to a public launch, including wallets, launchpads, trading costs and creator transparency.
Start with what you are launching
A memecoin is a token built around a meme, community or shared idea. Creating it makes a token exist; it does not create demand, a community or a reliable market. Decide what people are joining and what you can honestly deliver before opening a launch form.
Prepare before launch day
Choose a name and ticker, prepare an image you have permission to use, and write a plain description. Set up your official community links so people can distinguish your project from copies.
- Choose the Solana wallet that will launch the token. Understand that its public activity can become part of your creator history.
- Compare launch mechanics, creator fees, trading fees and what happens after graduation. Read the current terms rather than relying on an old social post.
- Keep enough SOL for the transactions you intend to sign. Review any initial buy separately from token creation.
- Prepare a clear explanation of creator holdings, related wallets and any planned token distribution.
Create, confirm and share the address
On a launchpad, enter the token details, review the launch settings and approve the intended wallet transaction. Wait for confirmation before announcing that the token is live. Share the full mint address and the official token page: names and tickers can be copied.
A bonding curve is a pricing mechanism used during early trading. Raydium LaunchLab launches can move to a standard pool when their funding threshold is reached. Graduation describes a market transition, not a promise of demand or future returns.
Your responsibility continues after launch
Keep communicating after the first announcement. Explain material changes and your own token activity. Avoid buying through undisclosed wallets to create the appearance of independent demand. On URGE, buyers can review available creator activity and launch history; visible information helps them make their own assessment.
